Pakistan’s Very Own Slice of Heaven: Nathia Gali

Servings its purpose as one of the most famous recreational spots of Pakistan, Nathia Gali, a hill station located in the Abbottabad District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, offers raw nature and dramatic mountain slopes which imbue its terrain with layers of fiction and fantasy and give tourists the ‘out of this world’ experience embellished with picturesque views and wildlife that they’ve been craving all year long

Trekking through nature 

Nathia Gali branches out into numerous tourist attractions.
Two famous hikes include ‘Mukhshpuri’ and ‘Miranjani,’ which reach their respective peaks in about 2-3 hours of trekking. Breathtaking views of Kashmir await tourists above. In cases of clear weather, catching a glimpse of Nanga Parbat is highly probable. Finally, the more venturesome, intrepid tourists trek to ‘Thandiani’ with a tour guide (readily available in the area) which takes over a day.

Experience wildlife 

Having been declared a wildlife sanctuary by the Government, be prepared to pack some extra snacks for the monkeys you’ll see around the area! Leopards and various birds are common in the forests surrounding Nathia Gali.

Stock up on souvenirs! 

Moreover, Nathia Gali has a famous mini Bazar (market) offering varieties of handwoven and hand-embroidered shawls, jewelry, and countless other traditional accessories.

All in all, just the fresh smell of pine cones, the clear constellation filled skies at night, the feeling of walking through a foggy cloud, and that fleeting feeling just before the monkey grabs the lays chips out of your hand; are enough reasons why Nathia Gali is the perfect retreat.
